Special Assessment

Special Assessment

A special assessment was passed by the association on February 9, 2014 by an overwhelming majority to repair damaged siding on our buildings and repaint. Total assessment was $2,880 with $80 due each month for 36 months. Final payment of the special assessment was due March 15, 2017. All payments for the special assessment should be complete.

Special Assessment work will continue throughout the summer of 2017 and finish with the last two buildings in the summer of 2018. Here is a link to the Special Assessment Progress.

History

The Board of Directors initially proposed a special assessment in July 2013. After a general meeting with the HOA members in September of that year, the scope and amount was revamped by a committee made up of homeowners who volunteered to revise the proposal. The revised Special Assessment passed in February 2014 and took effect in April of that year.

Ninety-two percent of the members voted in favor of the proposal. Two options were given and 86% chose option 1 which was the 3-year payment plan. The purpose of this special assessment was to repair deteriorated and rotting siding and paint the entire exterior of every building.
