Portable Basketball Goals
While having a basketball goal is allowed by the covenants and bylaws, they are not allowed to be stored on the common area even if it is next to your driveway.
The common area is not for personal storage of equipment. Also, a portable basketball goal will kill the grass if stored for a long period of time on the common area.
On top of that, a portable basketball goal stored on the common area is in the way of the mowers of our lawn care contractor. It is not the responsibility of the mowers to move things out of the way every time they are mowing our common area. It is ours as individual homeowners.
In light of these facts, basketball goals need to be removed from the common area when not in use. When you want to shoot some hoops, please feel free to place it next to your drive. Please move it to your driveway or take it down into your garage and not on the common area so as not to kill the grass or be in the way of the mowers when you are not.
